Re: [casino_comps] The Best of Harrahs Vegas Properties?

Responding to the woman taking her Mom to Vegas.
I have limited mobility. The best casino for me was New York,New York.
I explained my limitations and was treated with respect.
They were most accomodating. My room was directly off casino floor , near elevator.
It was easier to return to my room than to find the ladies room. Elevators were in very convenient places.
Food choices were plentiful.
The duece bus was just outside the door to go downtown. The overpass to Bellagio was very hanicap friendly.
They are extremely generous with their comps.

Enjoy and good luck....

I stayed at the Flamingo last year, it was nice but, like most of the casinos on the Strip, no $5 tables (ever) and the video poker didn't pay like it should. I played at all of the casinos on the Strip where I could find $5 table games (O'Shea's, Riviera, Slots-O-Fun, Casino Royale, & Imperial Palace), Imperial Palace was far and away the nicest of the bunch and way less crowded. I don't recall any of the dealers being overbearing, but yeah, I could see where their schtick could wear on you if you got the wrong one. I've got comped rooms for IP, the Rio, Bally's , Flamingo, Harrah's, and the Orleans, I wanted to stay somewhere new and I've already stayed at the Rio, Flamingo, & Harrah's. Thr Rio is really nice, but I didn't like playing there &

Don't do IP . That place is horrible. We stayed their last may 4 nights
ballys 4 nights IP. We were on the fifth floor. Took stairs cause
elevators were horrible. Restaurants where horrible. They do have low
limit tables for the strip but it's almost worth going somewhere else and
playing a higher limit table than dealing with the dealertainers.

I've never stayed at the others although I know that the rio is all suites
but off the strip.

Hi. I'm a newbee to this group. I appreciate any replies.
I am taking my mom to LV for her birthday on April 27 for 8 nts. Geez, she
will be 85, but is very active and drinks/gambles all night - love poker
too. I can get 4 nts comped at 2 Harrahs properties: Rio, Flamingo, Harrahs
and IP. Anyone have any insight into which might be the best properties as
far as room quality, loose slots and poker machines, restaurants, etc? I
looked at Trip Advisor, but the reviews are from one end of the spectrum to
the other <grin>. I was thinking I'd do 4 nights that way and then the rest
at one of better hotels like Wynn or Palzaao. Thanks for your thoughts and
insights.
Marcia
