[vpFREE] Total Rewards Credit Card

I received an email today from Harrah's marketing concerning their Total Rewards credit card (which I applied for and was approved for about two weeks ago). Although there is no introductory 0% APR, the initial promotion is a free 10,000 Reward Credits with spending of $750 in the first 90 days on top of other perks such as 1x, 2x, and 5x reward credits per dollar spent on various purchases.

Another perk -- not mentioned on their Total Rewards Visa website -- was an upgrade from Total Rewards gold status to Platinum status upon credit card approval. I called the number provided for the offer to apply (1855.381.5714) and informed the customer service rep that I was approved and asked about the status upgrade. I was told that my status upgrade would be shown on the TR website upon the first credit card billing cycle.

This is quite good for me (and may be good for others here). I haven't yet played at TR locations and only became a member, so a bump to Platinum and the perks which come with it are great!

I'm not sure if anyone else is getting this email, but if you have a TR Visa card and not platinum status, it may be worth calling to see if you can get upgraded...or perhaps applying for a card for the perks including the tier upgrade.
