This is some plan!! (Read article) Two days to evacuate!!!! The mind boggles. Imagine the wind causing a problem (could happen with our windy days, I assume they shut down during heavy wind). Imagine during New Year's Eve if they allow people onboard (I assume not) and a firework hit the wheel. All sorts of scenarios come to mind, including the most obvious -- a suicide during the ride (I bet a determined person could open the door and there are a lot of suicides in Vegas - couple from the stratosphere tower). Makes me wonder if the London Eye has had emergencies, I'll have to read up. (Now I understand why some doors on the floor were marked emergency supplies.)
