The multi-millions of losers at Powerball is a much more revealing statistic. They say poor people don't pay any income tax. But if you factor in their Powerball tickets they are being taxed to death. Because that's all Powerball is to me, a de facto tax on poor people. It's a game instituted by the states to sucker the working class out of their meager earnings. The state governments wind up with the bulk of the money and in the end the Feds get a big chunk too via tax on gambling win.
