I would pick my shots very carefully. I'm not real fond of playing for longshots especially on short money. Let's say I've committed to putting so much money per paycheck into a video poker savings account. I now have implied bankroll. I can't play full time on implied bankroll....but I can play part time.

Let's say I'm up to $1000 in savings. Brand X Casino has NSUD and a $10,000 wager gets $100 in freeplay. I'm gonna fire on the play. I might hit the deuces once or even twice or more. If I don't hit the deuces or the royal the play will probably wipe out most of the $1000. A player with adequate bankroll would just pull out more money and keep playing. A player with implied bankroll would have to wait a few paychecks before firing again. The only difference between a player with adequate bankroll and a player with implied bankroll is time.

Repeating the process over and over again on strong short term plays will eventually get the implied bankroll player through the window. He/she just has to keep sticking that paycheck money into whatever cash bankroll he/she has.

The one thing the adequately bankrolled player and the implied bankroll player have in common is "the recurring sum of net edge times volume equals the earn."
