Ok, there's this bank of machines at my local Indian casino called Outback
Jack. They're made by Aristocrat. I always eyeball them when I pass by on
my way toward the video poker. So apparently these are one of those "mystery
progressives" that we were talking about on this board a few weeks ago and
I needed someone to explain to me what it meant. Apparently "mystery
progressive" means "when the machine feels darn good and ready like giving it
to you". It has a maxi jackpot and a mini jackpot, and they are not
must-hit-by or dependent on any symbols lining up.
It's one of those 20-line things, with bonus screens, and all kinds of
confusing crap. Typically the maxi is in the $900-$1100 range, but the mini
starts at $10 (I think) and are usually in the $30-$40 range. However, once
in awhile I see the minis at $120, $140, whatever.
So, given that the mini starts at $10, does anyone think a mini of say
$140 might make it positive EV?
Looking for others' opinions. Thanks.
a.) Most definitely positive
b.) Maybe not, even though it is 14X re-set
c.) Probably still not positive
d.) Impossible to know
