I was within yards of the exit by the moving sidewalk and near my
car, walking at a reasonable pace.

I assume Suncoast has no liability -- does anyone know different I can't
think they are responsible for this occurrence, though my heart says they
should be?

Sorry for your ordeal, Karen. Good news that you are safe and sound. From
your description of the location above, I am assuming that when you refer to
the moving sidewalk, this is the flat metal linear belt that I call the
people mover. If this is the right place, then even though it it upstairs
from the casino level, it is most definitely inside of their premises and
not in the parking garage. I cannot see how they could not be responsible
for your loss of jewelry. Even if they have no legal responsibility, I
would be interested in their response to you.
