Re: [vpFREE] Guinness World Record at Cathay House, Palms?

I'd like to share with the group that I treated fellow ex-pat New Yorkers to
Cathay house at Palms ( PS - there are no signs, its in the back of the
coffee shop ) for a chinese meal. The service was excellent for a crowded
Friday night ( empty coffee shop BTW ), and we had a feast for four
including drinks for about $50. They said that this place was as good as our
favorite place in Flushing Queens ( big chinatown district ). The no frills
restaurant was about 80% asian, but we perceived no discrimination
whatsoever and super great service from the cute as a button chinese
waitress. The Evening menu is limited however with about 25 different
selections , but that number jumps up to over 100 at lunchtime.
best ...Tom

PS - I once waited over an hour fifteen minutes at a 100% white restaurant
in Vermont in 1989. When my steak finally arrived , it was extra extra char
burned. I did not get charged for it, and the manager gave me a coupon for a
free meal the next time in town. I never went back !

Hope this isn't too off topic but I entered Cathay House at 7:05 pm since
I was checking time for another reason.

Waiter did not take order until 7:23 pm. By 8:05 p.m. Chinese couple next to
me
who had come in later and ordered later, was served and eating a couple of
dishes.

Left without food arriving and I wondered what is the world record for
length of time to have a
relatively simple dish of food served.

BTW, I am not Chinese.
