Often I leave all my stuff in my car trunk (since I'm only staying at each hotel 2-3 days), and I'm pretty immaculate about the room (e.g. I bring my own toiletries...)
Perhaps the comment about key-swipes is helpful (rather than messing up the sheets). Even if you don't sleep in the room, visit the room & swipe the key 2-3 times/day when you play at the casino.
