I play for Fun & Perks, so even though I know the paytables are sometimes not as good I like bartops for one reason: Service. If you play on the floor, you can wait 20mins before even seeing a cocktail server, then another 20mins before they come back with your drink (and sometimes they don't come back at all!).

Bartop etiquette;
- sit down at the bartop
- put money and Club Card in the machine
- make eye contact with the bartender and say 'Hello!'. They will usually come right over.
- Order your drink

Usually the bartendor will place a glass on their side of your machine and put the cash register receipts for the drinks you order in it. Use that same glass to put tips to them.

Most places split tips. Good for a bartender that is stuck with a no tipper, bad for a great bardender that really goes out of the way for their customers. I guess it works out in the long run, BUT, I have run across places that they don't split tips. I had held off getting my tip money out for the 1st bartendor and gave the 2nd bartendor $5 (assuming for both drinks). I later learned they did not split tips, so now I always ask at a bar that I am new to.

I don't care for srip casino bars as they are usually strick with the drink brands & have mins they need to see in the machine and even the bet amount. I find the bartendors there also not as nice. We like the South Point and M bars. Bars are great place to people watch and I find 'commardaree (sp?) at bartops also, people are nicer and usually in good spirits (surely do the drinks!)
