Yes. Not too many months after the Hard Rock in Biloxi, MS opened, they changed their programming so that free play would no longer work on any of their video poker machines. Also, I don't think free play now works on VP machines at the Island View in Gulfport, MS either.
I had assumed that this restriction is not completely unknown in other areas of the country.
