Aha! At last somebody gets it. Yes, it's all about theoretical, cashback
rate, bounceback and, most of all, the perks (gifts, parties, tournament
invites, free cruises, free trips etc.). A wise, old relative of mine always
used to say, "Privileges are better than money" but it just took us awhile
to figure out he knew what he was talking about.
Hedy and I like to think that we play the "Casino Game" as well as anyone
and we love the lifestyle it allows us to live. After all, who doesn't like
free junkets to places like New Orleans, Laughlin, Reno/Tahoe,
Tunica/Memphis; plush, multi-room suites; limo transportation, eating in the finest
restaurants, front row seats to see A-list entertainers, private VIP check-in
areas, exclusive lounge access (e.g. 7 Stars Lounge at Harrah's AC) etc.
Would all this be possible if we played 9/6 JOB exclusively? We think not.
We know 9/6 DDB is not the optimal game to play but we love playing it and
have been very lucky while doing so. We realize it can all turn around and
kick us in the butt in a heartbeat but right now we are having loads of
fun and taking advantage of the perks being lavished upon us.
The fact that we just completed our second straight year of finishing in
the black (by several thousands of dollars this time) is just icing on the
cake.
Bottom line: We are NOT professional players but we love what we do, enjoy
reaping the benefits and if we can break even or make a few bucks along
the way all the better.
Oh, and by the way, we ARE in the process of writing a book!
Regards,
CoachVee & Hedy

The "Coach" is as sly as a fox in the henhouse. It's all about the
theoretical and how convincing your casino act is, and I'm sure "Coach" has a
pretty healthy overlay. Maybe when he's through, he'll write a book about it.
