A simple slot club, or pit (like Rampart), validation fixes the abuse problem as johnnyzee stated. Yanking the entire inventory of matchplays seems like a snap decision and an overreaction. I read the thread on Las Vegas Advisor where Anthony Curtis said the casinos didn't want the matchplays. Can someone please send him the 2010 American Casino Guide which has more matchplay coupons then ever before? I guess Steve Bourie didn't get that memo. :-)
LVA is going to need to see a dramatic reduction in the number of subscribers if they're going to consider bringing back the table matchplays.
The bottom line is if you're looking for the +EV play then the 2010 ACG has a significantly higher rate of return then the 2010 LVA.
In other coupon news, Casino Player eliminated their Funbook in 2009 and promised all their subscribers E-coupons. As of Dec 31 at 11:59:59, they failed to deliver a single coupon. The (useless) monthly issues have consistently been late and have gotten thinner each month due to reduced casino advertising. Refund requests have been ignored. Can someone please put Casino Journal Publishing on the casino death watch?
