Kicker hands generally occur only about 1/4 of the time you get the specific 4K (excluding 4 Aces in SDDB in which half the remaining deck is a kicker). People seriously overestimate their likelihood of occurrence (i.e. 4 Aces w/ 2,3 or 4 in 9/6 DDB is quite a longshot at 1 in over 16000).

To make matters worse, 9/6 DDB isn't even available in many casinos. Players confronted with a 9/5 or worse paytable face even tougher survival.

My opinion is that there is no one game of choice because it would vary according to where you play. I play entirely different games depending on where I go. Tomorrow is a NSUD day, but in two weeks I won't play any deuces at all because that casino doesn't offer a good version.

I'm for open discussion of all games and whatever plays members feel are pertinent. It's easy enough to move on to the next post if the discussion doesn't interest you.
