[casino_comps] Venetian Free Night Offer

I was at the Palazzo in mid-december and they didn't even mention anything
about a resort fee. I didn't have to pay anything. I was there for a slot
tournament and the room was comped but none of my meals were comped. But
then again when I arrived the desk clerk and I just didn't mesh. For some
reason she had major attitude and I didn't say one word to her. I do know
she wasn't in the mood for explaining anything. The only conversation I got
out of her was do you know where the room is located? I said "No" although
I have been there many times before and know the hotel like the back of my
hand.

Anyway, while we are talking about the Venetian, please enlighten me. I was
order drinks from the server. It seems the drink service was really slow
while I was there for 5 days. The issue is I tipped the waitress $1.00 for
a coke or coffee and $2.00 for a drink. I encountered 2 servers that didn't
think my tip was good enough apparently. I handed her a dollar and she
looked at the dollar and hesitated before she took it. That was a clue she
wasn't happy with my tip. And she wasn't smiling and didn't say thank you.
I almost put it back in my pocket. The same thing happened with another
server for a drink I gave her $2.00 and she did the same thing. This only
happened to me at the Venetian. What is going on? I always tip that amount
whether they are slow or not. Am I missing something here? Am I suppose to
tip more at places like the Venetian/Palazzo, Wynn and Bellagio? I value
your opinions, please let me know if I am not tipping enough.
