yep, $1.00 a drink is the norm. Here is a cool website that also covers tipping - www.cocktaildoll.com It talks about the IRS reporting system also and they only pay taxes on 50-cents a drink, if I remember right.

I think I would be tempted to report a "cocktail doll" who acts rude when given a $1 tip. I might even grab it back.

Gee, it might be just me... but I think I've encountered more rude people in Vegas my last trip (which was for 8 nts) than ever before. I stayed at both the Wynn and Palazzo that trip. Also, I had never seen so many college aged kids there before. There were hundreds either drunk or drugged partying on the sidewalks between the Venetian and Flamingo. I'm heading there for at least 10 days next month so I'm hoping people are nicer.
