> I was Seven Stars, it was not worth attaining. Leaving aside good vp or bad vp, that is not the test - it is what benefits do you get with 7 Stars over Diamond that warrants putting in 10x as much coin - they were never there.
I was 7 Star for a couple of years,(barely over the 10,000 pt goal, hardly a whale..) received and maximized all of my benefits, plus many extras like additional free rooms for my guests and free show or attraction tickets that were extra from what I was offered. Maybe it was my generous hosts or my charming way of asking......but I wasn't afraid to ask or let them know that I was aware of exactly what benefits I had coming.
I only had one incident at Laughlin/Harrah's where the EXECUTIVE HOST told me I couldn't have a free 1/2 hour massage when it was clearly spelled out as a perk on Harrah's website for 7's, available at any property. She claumed it had to be my "home" property right to my face. For the rest of my stay, she cost Harrah's all of our coin in there. On the other hand, the rest of the casino workers were going out of their way for us, even the maitre'd of the steakhouse who offered to remain open for us when we inquired too late about dinner.
I reaped the rewards when I had the chance but will never be 7 again since Harrah's has cranked down their VP. Also, many 7 stars benefits have been reduced or elimimated.
