[vpFREE] Re: Wendover conditions anyone????

>>Looks like the Peppermill owns three casinos in Wendover; the

nights at any of the properties.

It's actually a heck of a good deal for only $100. Although most of my
stops in Wendover are only "hit and run" to pick up my free play at the
Nugget, I've also stayed there a few times on my way back and forth from the
airport in Salt Lake. The Nugget is included in your choice of hotels (at
least it was last year) and I've found the rooms at both Montego Bay and the
Nugget to be really nice. The Peppermill rooms are OK (in that usual
"Peppermill style"). Never stayed at the Rainbow. The buffet and coffee shop
are better at the Nugget.
Mostly I play the .25 8/5 BP machines at the Nugget, but I think they've
got them across the street too. (I never noticed much difference in
inventory among the Peppermill, Rainbow, and Montego Bay.) The casinos are
adequately "upscale" (especially in comparison to what you find further west on
I-80) and there's occasionally some first rate entertainment at the Concert
Hall. Despite their bankruptcy problems, Holder has managed to keep the
Red Garter open, although I never found much worth playing in there.

If you've never been to that part of the world, Wendover might be an
interesting trip. It's not much of a town and it's a hundred miles to Salt Lake
City (or anything else resembling a city), but if you've never seen the
Salt Flats, it's sort of scenic in a desolate sort of way. The weather is
still pretty nice out here (highs up around 70 this week) so, if you've got
the time, the package deal might be worth your while.

And, as I tell everybody from the Midwest, we need your money out here.
