I guess you'll probably consider this a "correction", from your perspective.
You are clearly a more discriminating player, with broader skills. I just play Jacks or Better, and find a lot more 9/6 in the midwest than at my own favorite casinos in Vegas; my preferred denomination is $1, and I can find plenty of that here, while in Vegas I seem to find only higher denoms, if any 9/6 at all. If you have a broader set of games to select from, apparently you can do better in Vegas (and yes, I know I ought to learn some other games, but I just don't play often enough to motivate me to do it -- maybe this winter that will go on my to-do list).
The games I play are at Majestic Star, and the two Horseshoes in Indiana, for the most part. The last couple times I was at Horseshoe Northern IN, they had two banks of $1 single-line 9/6 JoB with a progressive royal (two different banks and two different progressives), one fairly close to the poker room and one a little further away. They also have a couple 3-5-10 play $1 Super Times Pay machines in the high roller slot area.
Comps are not that great at any of these properties, although I do get treated reasonably well at Horseshoe South, if I'm interested in eating a lot.
