Re: [casino_comps] First bad experience in Las Vegas

I agree with you that errors happen as we indeed are all human.Fortunately nothing of that manner has ever happened to me but I think the important thing is not the mistake itself but how it is handled.

> Just FYI from Me,

As a long time gambler mostly in high limit pits and having executive
hosts and even being taken care of by full vice presidents of casinos,
mistakes happen. Any biz that is a service industry a mistake will
happen, some huge and some not so huge. I too, own a service biz and we
do make mistakes. When humans are involved they will happen, computers
give us info but only that info as to what was input by some clerk.

On the flip side, I was at Foxwoods a few years ago and stayed in a Butler
Suite. When I checked out and flew back home I received a call from my
host (the previous and great Sammy Kabasi) and he told me to call security
at Foxwoods as the housekeeping staff found my Minnesota Vikings NFC
Championship ring that belonged to Chuck Foreman (#44 Purple People
Eaters) which he gave my father before my father passed away of cancer
back in 96. The ring is priceless and is worth a small fortune. When I
talked to security they told me they would keep it safe and even faxed me
a receipt for it and arranged to Fed Ex it to me and Foxwoods paid for
insurance which was several hundred dollars at their expense.

Not all housekeeping staff steals or throws things in the garbage. I have
been gambling for 25 plus years and I can remember times that reflected
staff mistakes. As in anything else in life I myself attempt to take
mistakes made by others in stride. If severe enough I point them out to
the management but otherwise I just laugh them off and remember mistakes
made by my employees.
That is totally @#!$%#@% up on the part of the Nugget. A buddy of mine had
