Wow, I have been going to casinos since the old Playboy casino opened up in AC, and I've never had anyone say anything like that. But I have to admit, I rarely (EXTREMELY rarely) play at the bartops, only if I want to get a nightcap at the end of the day, and there aren't any cocktail waitresses around. So I don't know if there is a different etiquette there.
I would venture to guess, though that as I said in my original post: "such a person may not have congratulated me on my hit, exchanged any
pleasantries. . . That person wouldn't
have gotten anything at all, and I wouldn't have bothered determining
what kind of vibes they were emanating."
So what I would have done would have been to politely order my nightcap, and then told him to go #(_) ( |< himself.
