[casino_comps] Re: Free shows (and a question about the room upgrades)

I've given up on the $20 tip trick. I haven't gotten anything that made me say "Wow, $20 really warranted this room". Twice I had a hotel front desk clerk let the $20 bill fall from between my license and credit card and they both said "Did you mean for this to be in here?". This happened at Caesar's and Paris. If I could have taken in what was happening (because I was FLOORED by asking that), I would have simply said, "Yeah, it's the $20 tip trick, check out www.thetwentydollartrick.com website and get a clue." but I didn't.

So in short, I'm done with the $20 tip trick and will just politely ask for an upgrade upon check-in.
