It seems that if you play with at least a moderate pace on 25c video poker or higher, you should get a comped drink every 15-20 minutes. The Cosmopolitan has a similar system with drink tickets that spit out from the machine periodically.

I have read that Ceasars and MGM properties are putting on there machines a indicator as to when you have played enough video poker to receive a drink. I do not play at their properties much but would be interested in knowing how much you have to play or any other details. I have heard for now is only at the bars. I like playing at bars and getting drinks and am worried. Only good I see is maybe good games will come back to the bars if they lose less money on drinks but not holding my breath on that.
