[vpFREE] Re: Keeping records for IRS, and cat vomit

Ok so check it out. When I was about 14 I had a 3 page homework assignment. My mother spilled tea on one of the pages. My dog chewed up the second page, and as I was pulling out the last page, right outside the classroom, the wind blew away my only remaining proof that I'd done the assignment at all.

I walked in. The teacher said, "Do you have your homework?" I could certainly have truthfully answered, "Well my mom spilled tea on it, the dog ate it...and the wind blew it away."

I said, "No"--And left it at that.

She let me make it up after school...and then I told her the truth. She may still be laughing to this day.

Nope, that's not it. I reach down, and realize what it is as I am about to pick it up. It's just covered, I say COVERED, with cat vomit. I mean, I'm used to cat vomit, no biggie. But of all the places in this house to dump his dinner, and he had to pick that spot specifically?
