while there.
. Getting back home (flight) was a horrendous experience. A story that you could never imagine and I wont go into it here. Along with getting a replacement license I got a state ID. Now when going to Vegas I deliberately leave my license in my room and use the state ID. I understand that some states will not allow you to have both. (?) In that event apply for each at different times or claim that you lost your license and get a replacement. Then when your away, use it when you are going to need to show it frequently and leave the other in your room as "back-up"

A driver's license is not the only option out there.
If you don't drive, you can get a state issued ID or even a passport (and someone else can fill out those forms for you). A military ID works. My State Department ID would probably work if it were not expired. I do not know the full list, but suffice to say that there are options out there.
In response to the person who posted after you (otterpower), you are absolutely right. However, an expired ID is not a valid ID.
Take Care,
Mark
