> Friend of mine got a letter today from the Eastside Cannery, I have not seen it yet but he read some of it to me over the phone. Says starting January 4th, 400 points will be worth $1, and $1 coin-in for slots and $2 coin-in for VP will equal a point.

As a new slots player, the point systems at different casinos are major-league confusing. I try to keep notes, but it's a mess.
I wish casinos would just show on the screens of the slots:
a) Coin-in
b) Earning rate for this machine
c) Points earned
d) Value of points
Some machines like the full-pay at Gold Coast advertise that they earn no points.
However, some video blackjack machines don't say that they earn no points.
In the MGM chain,
Mirage - simulated dealer machines earn no points, but the regular VBJ machines do.
Luxor - simulated dealer machines do earn points
As a mostly-tables person who's trying to learn slots, its very confusing.
I know the points & comp systems of the casinos I play most often, but the other casinos are a blur...
