[vpFREE] Hold High Pair or Higher EV

Recent posts mentioned the high pair vs 4 flush with 2 Hi cards in 9/7 double bonus and the high pair vs 3 to the royal in Pick'em. Can someone calculate how many hands we would need to play to achieve a 90% confidence level that we would be ahead with the higher EV play. This would be something like the N0 calculation.

I automatically go for the higher EV play, but I have to wonder if I will play enough hands (long run issue) to make it pay off. I only play 9/7 DB when I find a positive progressive so maybe preserving bankroll going for the royal means hold the high pair.

I do play a lot Pick'em, but the royal is so rare and the high pair pays 2 to 1. What is the probability you will be ahead after 100 hands then 1000, 10000 etc. going for the royal. The EV for the QJ10 is much higher than K HI so just compare high pair vs 3 to a K HI royal in Pick'em.

Thanks,

Chris
