The mathematics of your good fortune will inspire some, yet depress others.

Those in a royal drought are on the bad side of the math. A person like you gets two royals in a matter of minutes while they have drawn blanks in frustration the entire year.

If you assume the machines are fair (which we cannot ever know for sure), then the math of the game will prevail.

But if you've been unlucky there are no guarantees of YOU being the one with imminent payback. For as you step away from the machine, David sits down and gets "your" long overdue royals, so to speak. The machine is close to its 100% EV in terms of coin in and out, but you sure aren't.

For that reason, I always recommend learning a backup game to 9/6 Jacks which has potential decent jackpots that keeps you ahead during a royal drought. It might be a bumpier ride, but drawing those four aces for 800 or more (or four deuces for 1000) might just save you.
